Ashton Residents,
I am pleased to announce the
expansion of transportation services to the Ashton and Franklin
Grove communities.
Lee-Ogle Transportation System
(LOTS) allows those individuals who may be experiencing
transportation difficulties an opportunity to address their
transportation needs. This includes the general public,
senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, and people
with limited income who reside in Lee and Ogle County. Transportation
is available to all individuals who may need to go to dialysis,
medical/dental appointments, employment, educational resources,
shopping, and social events just to name a few.
All of our vehicles are lift-equipped
for wheelchairs. Comfort / Service animals are permitted.
Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m. Anyone needing transportation must call by
2:00 pm the business day before to schedule a ride. However,
passengers are encouraged to call as soon as they are aware
of the need for a ride. Example: They know of an appointment
two (2) weeks ahead.
Please remember that this is
a shared ride and the van/bus may be as much as 30 minutes
earlier or later than the scheduled pick-up and drop-off
times. However, we do our best to get all passengers to
their appointments on time. Please be aware that our drivers
are not allowed to lift or pull a wheelchair or passenger
up and down steps. Any passenger requiring assistance will
need to bring an aide to assist them. There is no cost for
an aide to be transported with the passenger.
We provide transportation service
to anyone who resides in Lee or Ogle County. Our transportation
service is affordable, sustainable, and cost efficient.
Public transportation enhances
the social fabric of the communities across the nation by
linking people to their places of work, school, medical
facilities and to friends and family. We are excited to
serve your area and hope that you will share this information
with those in need of transportation.
